Mermaids Fast Asleep Story Hour and Puppet Party at Book and Puppet Co.

I had fantastic fun singing my lullaby picture book in Easton, PA!

There was a packed house for story hour at Book and Puppet Co., February 17, 2019. Kids got to color and create their own mermaid themed puppets and perform their own puppet show after getting a special sneak peek of “Mermaids Fast Asleep”.

It is pretty amazing to me when I watch the video – how wonderfully well-behaved the children are! I don’t want to say it’s entirely due to the calming effects of the Mermaid Lullaby, but I’m sure it didn’t hurt…

The Cutest Event in the World

Is a Mermaid Puppet Party

Ah, sweet success!
On Sunday Feb. 17 we had a Mermaid Puppet Party at Book & Puppet Co., where the children made their own paper puppets. There were cupcakes and I sang the Mermaids Fast Asleep lullaby along to the book. Then the children danced their mermaid puppets to sleep.
There was an impressive number of families who turned out, and the kids really seemed to have a good time.

Words, Words, Words

I love words! Beautiful long languid words like samovar and formaldehyde, chewy short words like toast and rub, silly-sounding words such as garboil and dingle, hard-to-say words like defunct and hare-brained, I adore them all. I have a special fondness for mysterious words like cabochon and skipping words like triskaidekaphobia, and I’m even a friend some rather naughty words, such as stiletto and petard.

If you love words and love stringing words together to make poems, songs, stories or tall tales, I’m delighted to share these words of mine with you, and I hope you will share yours.
